running on diesel.

Hi! I'm new to this community and think it's great.
I have a plant identification question. This popped up in one of my compost containers and I kept it out of curiosity. Within a few months, it flowered and began to produce fruit.

It looks like some kind of melon, squash, or cucumber vine, but the fruit is still so small that I have no idea what it is. Hopefully one of you more experienced gardeners can tell me!

It looks like a cucumber, judging by the small flower size--squash flowers are usually a bit larger. Are there spines on the small fruits? That's a good way to tell; cukes are usually spiny when they're growing!
It's some kind of curbit, that's for sure, but I'm betting on cucumber!
hm, the fruit is fuzzy but not spiny. That's why I thought it might not be a cucumber, but there must be varieties without, right?

Thank you :D
I also vote cucumber.
I agree. I have both zucchini and cucumber in my yard now.
